The Making of Herno Knitwear

Just like the water flowing in the river it's named after, Herno is constantly on the move.
Boasting long-standing and unrivalled excellence in outerwear fashion, Herno has seen its collections evolve over time, culminating in the elegant, contemporary and well-rounded lifestyle garments of its most recent seasons.
In 2020, the company embarked on its newest challenge, with the implementation of its new in-house knitwear department.
The expanded operating area of the factory dating back to the late 19th century—well-suited to increasingly innovative eco-sustainable solutions—is home to the knitting department, where a holistic approach combining product design, prototypes and development is applied.

Each garment is the result of meticulous craftsmanship, where attention to detail melds with modern style and emphasises the painstakingly selected materials used. Every single step in the production process is monitored closely, from design to prototype creation, through to the end product, to maintain the levels of quality that have set the Herno trademark apart for 75 years.
Premium wools, soft and enveloping cashmeres, and angora-blend yarns give the pieces in the FW24 collection—featuring classic sweaters, gilets, cardigans and Herno's classic, long-standing hybrid knit and down-padded garments—an unrivalled feel. Created with modern living in mind, the collection combines style, practicality and comfort.
